Main duties of the job
As our Blood Transfusion Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will:
Proactively identifies the needs and expectations of customers and strives to meet them
Proactively commits to developing own personal skills, knowledge and behaviours, and supports others in their development
Communicates appropriately and effectively in order to inform, influence or persuade people in relation to difficult situations
Effectively manages the flow of information
Develops an effective team, supporting them and enabling them to achieve their goals.
Ensures own work meets the requited standards, encourages the same in others and proactively identifies improvement opportunities.
Multi-disciplinary experience desirable
Participate in on-call rota
Support and oversee training, development, and mentoring of the team
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, and audit frameworks
Attend key management meetings including the local, regional and national Hospital Transfusion Forum meetings
Hold a current HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council) - essential for this role

We're looking for a confident and motivated healthcare professional with strong leadership skills and a solid background in Blood Transfusion to join us as Senior Biomedical Scientist - Blood Transfusion Lead at our Brentwood Hospital.
As our Blood Transfusion Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will:
