Main duties of the job

As our HSSU Lead Technician you will: Help lead a Team of HSSU Process Technicians. Assist is organising the workload to ensure Customer requirements are met. Ensure that process equipment and accessories are in full working order and that all faults and anomalies are reported. Solve issues / problems and escalate where necessary. Deal with Customer queries

The opportunity Based in our state of the art Sterile Services Unit, your work will be varied, stimulating and will involve the cleaning, disinfection, inspection, packaging and sterilization of surgical instruments. By joining us you'll be making a significant contribution to Patient Safety in both Private and NHS Hospitals. As our HSSU Lead Technician you will:

  • Help lead a Team of HSSU Process Technicians.
  • Assist is organising the workload to ensure Customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure that process equipment and accessories are in full working order and that all faults and anomalies are reported.
  • Solve issues / problems and escalate where necessary.
  • Deal with Customer queries
  • The person To succeed as a HSSU Lead Technician, you will need:
  • To be enthusiastic and motivated.
  • To have good organisational skills, post holders will be required to maintain accurate records / documentation in accordance with statutory and organisational policies and procedures.
  • To maintain a clean and tidy working environment whilst checking medical devices for cleanliness, functionality and damage, and taking action to rectify any problems and escalating issues where necessary.
  • To monitor stock issues as they arise and advise their line manager when goods need to be re-ordered.
  • You will need to have:
  • A basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
  • Evidence of previous sterile services training.
  • A knowledge of Endoscopes and their reprocessing,
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, and basic computer literacy.
  • Attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service.
