Main duties of the job

Clinical Expertise: Providing expert care, advice, and support to patients and their families throughout their immunotherapy journey. This includes managing treatment-related side effects, monitoring patient progress, and making independent management decisions. Education and Training: Acting as a resource for other healthcare professionals, providing education and training on immunotherapy and its management. This may involve developing educational materials and delivering training sessions. Service Development: Contributing to the development and improvement of the immunotherapy service, including implementing new protocols and pathways of care. Audit: Participating in audit activities to advance knowledge and improve patient outcomes in immunotherapy. Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Advanced Practice: Utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex needs related to immunotherapy. Advocacy: Advocating for patients receiving immunotherapy, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
