As a Biomedical Scientist at our Wessex Hospital you'll bring the relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science. You have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of techniques. You're also a natural communicator and team player, and you share our idea of quality. As a Biomedical Scientist, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality pathology services.
  • Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting and quality control.

  • As a Biomedical Scientist, you will have:
  • A HCPC registration (required).
  • A BSc in Biomedical Science (or equivalent qualification/experience).
  • Blood sciences laboratory experience.
  • Good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques.
  • Great communication and team player skills.
  • The ability to understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.
  • The ability to multi-task and meet required service turnaround times.
  • Relevant laboratory experience in Haematology, Chemistry and Blood Transfusion biomedical science
