Job summary

As a Process Technician at our Stoke HSSU Hub, you'll bring a basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills. You're organised with good communication skills - and ideally, you're able to show evidence of sterile services training.

Main duties of the job

As a Decontamination Process Technician, you will:

  • Dismantle and prepare and sterilise Medical Instruments ready for Theatre Surgery
  • Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard
  • Help to ensure all equipment is in good working order
  • Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults
  • Work with a strong friendly team Take on training as required Be computer literate
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
  • Take action to resolve any problems
  • Escalate issues where necessary Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
  • Handle manual handling duties up to 13kg.
  • Have strong attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service.

Decontamination Process Technician - Sterile Services

Stoke Hospital Sterile Services Unit (ST5 7UF) | Bank Worker | Part Time

£12.21 per hour

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability which is mainly weekends - Mid week working can be offered also
