Main duties of the job

Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a very varied caseload - within the department, on the ward and in theatre. Opportunity to rotate through CT & MRI for right candidate. Working with leading practitioners and experiencing new practices, equipment and facilities. Be involved in departmental audit and help develop policies and procedures. We also provide a diagnostic imaging service (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography and X-ray), pathology, paediatric unit, surgical recovery ward, cancer care unit, 3 state of the art operating theatres and physiotherapy services.

  • Qualification in Virtual Colonography is essential to this role.
  • High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
  • CT Cardiac knowledge and experience is desirable.
  • A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
  • A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Excellent communication and team working abilities.
  • You must be a team player and be able to plan and strive towards working to Nuffield CARE values. You should be committed and willing to take on new challenges and help develop the Radiographic service.
