Opthalmology Technician

Up to £34,000.00 per annum depending on experience
37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Bristol Hospital and play your part in building a healthier nation. Supporting out team of busy ophthalmic consultant, you will perform relevant tests for each patient at their clinic appointment, helping with the smooth running of the clinic.
As our Ophthalmic Technician, you will:
Help manage the patient clinics.
Perform HFA, I-profiler, and OCT testing on patients during the clinics and at other times to suit the patients.
Assist with pre-operative assessment of patients prior to cataract surgery.
Ensure Medical Records and kept as per protocol.
Ensure privacy dignity and safeguarding of all patients.
Checking VA.
Carrying out visual field testing, biometry, OCT scanning and corneal topography.
To succeed as an Ophthalmic Technician, you will need:
Experience/competency in the testing of patients with specialised ophthalmic equipment.
Experience in health and social care.
Preferably have an NVQ qualification.
