The Nuffield Health DerbyHospital is a modern, purpose-built hospital with 38 en-suite beds, three operating theatres, and together with a comprehensive range of outpatient services.
The Radiology department is a small but busy department covering general radiographic procedures, theatre, ultrasound, MRI and CT. Set in beautiful grounds, we're about 3 miles from the city centre, within easy reach of all major roads and bus routes.

As a Senior Mammographer or Radiographer with Mammo certificate and competencies, at our Derby Nuffield Hospital, you'll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a UK postgraduate qualification in Mammography and high levels of technical knowledge. Ideally, you'll also have Radiation Protection Supervisor training and qualification, as well as the ability to work accurately and compassionately.
We have a highly rated 'One Stop' and Health Screening Breast Service. We want to bring Mammography to the forefront and a seamless service that is integrated into X-Ray. We have a national network of Mammographers, to allow best practice to be shared, networking and opportunities to improve the service.
Our One Stop clinics are on an Monday core hours, Tuesday evening, Thursday Evening which can allow for some flexibility in work patterns not available in other Breast Services.

As a Senior Mammographer, you will:
See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy
Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload - in the department, on the ward and in theatre
Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities
Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures
Supervise and develop junior colleagues & students
Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion
Support the Leads and Manager in the operational running of the department
Participate in X-Ray or other imaging areas as required
The running of One Stop clinics and working closely with Oncology and Consultants
