Main duties of the job

Deliver a high-quality cardiac imaging service within theatres Train and mentor staff in cardiac imaging Accurately input data into radiology software CRIS, patient management software PIMS to ensure correct billing of patients Work with leading practitioners and experiencing new practices, equipment and facilities Provide a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion Maintain continuing professional development (CPD) record This role is required to support weekend work

Hospital facilities include 3 state of the art digital theatres, 32 beds, Surgical Day Case theatre/endoscopy suite, Surgical Day PODs, private consultation rooms, close monitoring units, Chemotherapy suite, on-site registered pharmacy, Diagnostic scanning unit and a Pathology laboratory.

  • The Person To succeed as a Bank Cardiac Radiographer at Cambridge you will have;
  • High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail
  • A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy
  • A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Proven experience and understanding of UK legislation and governing bodies relating to Radiology
  • Be able to demonstrate current cardiac imaging experience
  • Work well within a close, supportive team. Willing to go the extra mile to ensure the patient has a positive experience
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
