Job summary
We are seeking a experienced Headof EStates to lead the Estates Department and
ensure the optimal operation across 3 hospital sites, based at the Kent and
Canterbury Hospital and also managing 2 ancillary sites; Royal Victoria
Hospital, Folkestone and Buckland Hospital in Dover.
This role is
key in maintaining the delivery of critical clinical services by managing the
estate, plant, and equipment efficiently, safely, and in compliance with
statutory, mandatory, and HTM regulations.
You will leada
multidisciplinary team of managerial, technical, and administrative staff,
ensuring high performance bothindividuallyand collectively.The role encompasses maintenance,
compliance, projects, lifecycle planning, and performance management through
KPIs, SLAs, and other key deliverables.
As the technical expert, you will provide strategic advice, propose and implement solutions, manage budgets, oversee procurement and maintain customer liaison with theTrustand clinical teams. You will also participate in the on-call rota,
attending site outside normal hours as needed.

Lead, manage, and develop a team delivering estate and technical services across multiple hospital sites.
Ensure compliance with statutory, mandatory, and HTM regulations, providing assurance to Directors and the Board.
Oversee maintenance, repairs, projects, and lifecycle planning for all estate assets.
Manage KPIs, SLAs, budgets, reporting, procurement, and helpdesk operations.
Provide expert technical advice and implement solutions for clinical and operational requirements.
Ensure Health & Safety compliance, effective CAFM and BMS systems operation, and adherence to all regulatory guidance including HTMs, HBNs, and building regulations.
Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and a culture of excellent customer service within the department.
Participate in the on-call rota tosupportincidents, emergency planning, and contingency management.
