Main duties of the job

The Pathfinder Academy Lead will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Academy, driving forward programmes that support workforce transformation across Primary and Community Care. Working closely with internal teams, academic institutions, and external partners, you will lead the development of innovative education programmes aligned with organisational strategy and workforce priorities. This is a unique opportunity to influence education at scale, shape the future workforce, and position the Academy as a recognised leader in primary care education nationally and internationally.

Main Duties of the Role

You will provide strategic oversight for the Academy, ensuring the design, development, and delivery of education programmes meet high-quality standards. Key responsibilities include launching accredited postgraduate diplomas, developing an international clinical fellowship programme, creating a digital Training Hub to support scalable learning and professional development, and developing the Primary Care Fundamentals Programme.

You will build strong partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare organisations, and training providers to expand the Academys reach and impact, monitor programme performance and learner outcomes, and use data to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, you will contribute to the Academys growth and sustainability by identifying opportunities for innovation, funding, and programme expansion.
