Job summary

Modality Partnership Birmingham Divisionhas full/part-time vacancies(minimum 20hrs 37.5hrs). The postholder will be a high performing Practice Nurse working at one of the following sites, Enki Medical Practice, Bellevue Medical Centre, Black Country Family Practice or Laurie Pike Health Centre across Modality Birmingham Division and responsible for the delivery of general practice nursing to the whole practice population. We are seeking dedicated postholders to join our team and who can display our CARE values: Commitment, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

This job is suitable for individuals who are career driven and have a passion for working in an agile manner, implementing solutions, delivering high quality patient care and who are committed to make real changes to the health care services provided within Primary Care to improve patient care.

Main duties of the job

The role is both the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with a chronic condition, and the provision of preventative health care to the practice population. for the care delivered to their patients, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical decision-making in the management of patients.

  • Registered General Nurse (essential/ desirable criteria Minimum 4 years post-registration experience / at least 3 years recent primary and community nursing experience.
  • Evidence of Higher education pathway (degree / diploma level).
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Cervical Cytology Training.
  • Child and Adult Immunisation Training.
  • Experience/ Knowledge of Long term Conditions (Diabetes, Asthma, COPD etc).
  • Clinical decision making.
  • Evidence based Practice.

Skills

  • Clinical leadership skills.
  • Clinical skills cervical cytology, immunisation and vaccination, ear care, minor surgery.
