Modality Haydock Division
PCN has a full-time vacancy
for a Pharmacy Technician.
The postholder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within general
practice, across Modality Haydock Primary Care Network (PCN). Modality PCN supports patients in the Newton
and Haydock area from 6 practices across the city. We are seeking dedicated
postholders to join our team and who can display our CARE values: Commitment,

This job is
suitable for individuals who are career driven and have a passion for patient
care and supporting patients with their health outcomes. Working with the wider
team such as Pharmacists, Prescribing teams, and GPs to ensure prescribing
targets are met and changes are made in a timely manner.

Main duties of the job
The postholder
will work as part of Modality Partnership Haydock Division working as part of the Division and the Newton and Haydock PCN and which will include pharmacy
administrators, pharmacy technicians & prescribing pharmacists, and who
will deal with all pharmacy related patient inquiries, as well as the delivery
of structured medication reviews, high-risk drug monitoring, medicines
reconciliation, repeat medication facilitation, drug audits and other clinical
work depending on your competencies.
The role is not a regular 9am-5pm job;
the job requires innovation, flexibility, and commitment and the postholder
will be required to work resourcefully as part of the team to ensure tasks are
completed.

- Basic knowledge of current NHS Data Standards and Information
- Systems that apply within GP Practice and Primary Care.
- Knowledge of data management and IM&T techniques acquired.
- Through qualification to NVQ level 2 or equivalent relevant experience
- Knowledge of or an understanding of research in Primary Care which
- Helps to promote positive outcome in wider health care organisations
Skills
Essential
- Proficient in MS applications including Outlook, Access, Excel and Word and other related software packages.
- Ability to interrogate various databases and present statistical data in a variety of formats including clinical systems such as System One.
- Confident in working well with data and metrics to support the wider business needs of the Division.
- Ability to report on data extracted from the medical system
