Job summary

Modality Partnership Hull Division are excited to be recruiting the fourth cohort of our Graduate Internship programme. We have a vacancy for a Gradate Intern to join our Project Officer programme. The Internship provides support to develop knowledge and skills, while gaining hands-on experience in strategic, operational and management functions. You will lead on delivery of specific projects, and support delivery of larger projects, as appropriate to your skills and background. At the end of the internship you will have:

Delivered targeted programmes of work, with clear impact, working with clinical and non-colleagues from a multi-disciplinary team.

Developed and demonstrated proven skills and knowledge in a range of areas through varied project programmes, providing strong transferable skills for other sectors and roles, and/or an excellent grounding in healthcare management.

Received CV/personal statement and career development coaching to support you to succeed in your next steps, to undertake three placements, each of which will provide you with a different set of skills development, alongside learning on more specialist aspects of general practice.

The right candidate will be passionate about delivering excellence. It will equip you with key transferable skills in people, project and operational management.

Main duties of the job

During this placement you will coordinate projects and lead on projects or elements of projects as required, including planning, implementation, data collation and analysis and impact assessment, with the support of the Project Manager. You will hold a portfolio of project work, supported by the project manager, undertaking specific projects to support primary care delivery. Past project areas, based on experience and skill sets of interns recruited, have included: patient communications, vaccination clinics, supporting office redesign, media/resource development and clinical improvement initiatives. You will coordinate the recruitment, scheduling and support of our flexible workforce, to support the delivery of specific projects. You will gain an understanding and experience of

- The landscape of primary care and healthcare more broadly, including competing priorities and the primary care network agenda

- Hands on experience in project management and delivery including logistics and events management

- Experience to support future line-management, including liaising with and scheduling part-time staff (predominantly part-time student workforce) to ensure flexible project and health care delivery

The role is not your regular 9am-5pm job and is not a pure management or pure project management role; the job requires innovation, flexibility, and commitment.
