Lead Meaningful Change for Adults with Neurodevelopmental Needs Across BSW
Join our Learning Disability, Autism and Neurodiversity division and play a central role in shaping a highquality, needsled service for adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and ADHD across Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW).This is your opportunity to make a real, lasting difference to service users at every stage of their neurodevelopmental journeyboth pre and postdiagnosis.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist and NonMedical Prescriber within the BSW Neurodevelopmental Pathway team, youll be at the forefront of delivering specialist assessment, prescribing, and therapeuticsupportto adults with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as their families.Youll take a leadership role within the ADHD assessment and postdiagnostic pathway, including medicines management, ensuring safe, personcentred and evidencebased care.
Youll also contribute to the development of a single, needsled neurodevelopmental pathway across the BSW regionworking collaboratively with HCRG Care Group and BSW ICB LDAN partners to redesign and improve services for the future.

Main duties of the job
- Working closely with the neurodevelopmental pathway team to develop, deliver and monitor needsled assessment and care for adults and their families.
- Acting as a key member of the ADHD multidisciplinary team, collaborating with clinicians across a range of disciplines.
- Leading preliminary assessments for new referrals across the BSW locality, usingagreedtools and gathering information through observation, interviews and structured assessments.
- Prescribing ADHDrelated medication as an Advanced Nurse Prescriber, following NMC, NICE and national guidelines.
- Using a Think Family and traumainformed approach throughout all clinical work.
- Completing comprehensive assessments based on multiple information sources, including psychological measures, rating scales, direct/indirect observations and patient/family interviews.
- Working in line with the NMC Code of Conduct, professional standards andTrustpolicies.
- Prescribing safely under a Clinical Management Plan, while maintaining uptodate pharmaceutical knowledge and auditing your prescribing practice.
- Developing and delivering evidencebased treatment plans, including medication and nonpharmacological interventions.
- Making autonomous clinical decisions for the longterm management of adults with ADHD andsupportingtheir families.
- Providing clear communication,supportand signposting through facetoface appointments, virtual clinics and betweenappointment advice.
