As a Band 5 Staff Nurse within our Health Visiting Team, youll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking service dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families across Warwickshire.

Main duties of the job

Youll work in partnership with families, children and wider Early Years services to promote health, identify needs early and provide timely, evidence-based support. The role includes working in homes, community venues and drop-in settings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting delivery of the Healthy Child Programme

  • Completing Family Health Needs Assessments for mandated reviews

  • Providing targeted interventions to vulnerable families

  • Supporting infant feeding and parentinfant relationships in line with Baby Friendly standards

  • Delivering behavioural and parenting support using the Solihull Foundation Approach and Five to Thrive

  • Working with families requiring Early Help, Child in Need or Child Protection support (under supervision)

  • Participating in drop-in clinics and facilitating group sessions (including virtual platforms)

  • Undertaking Looked After Child assessments as required

  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical records

  • Contributing to safeguarding, clinical supervision and appraisal processes

  • Acting as a mentor to pre-registration nursing students
