We are excited to be recruiting a number of Health Care Support Workers / Therapy Support Workers to join our team at The Orbital in Swindon. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time roles, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

In this varied and rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to support both nursing areas and therapy services, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. Interviews will be held via an assessment day on 27th February, from 10:00am.Successful applicants will be invited to attend and take part in a range of activities designed to help us get to know you and your skills.

Main duties of the job

Main Responsibilities:

• Deliver treatment/care within a community setting as specified in a written care plan, under the guidance of a registered practitioner.
• To keep the patient at the centre of their care, ensuring patient and carer participation in decision making.
• Responsibility for, and supporting, the day-to-day care of patients, including monitoring.
• To communicate with individuals about routine and daily activities, this may include overcoming difficulties (e.g. hearing/language).
• To work within a multi-professional team and to feed back service user progress, liaising with colleagues, families, carers and other agencies.
• To assist registered and unregistered staff, referring to registered staff when necessary.
