Job summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Band 6 Community Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming Community Nursing Team in Gravesend, North Kent, and help us continue improving the way we deliver high-quality community care.

Gravesham Community Hospital is located a short distance from St Georges Shopping Centre and surrounded by well-known food and coffee outlets, making it an ideal and convenient base.

We have one full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week).The Community Nursing Team works7 days a week, 08:0020:00on a rota basis.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

Main duties of the job

In this Band 6 role, you'll use your clinical expertise and NMC registration to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in the community. You'll work independently while also contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team, supporting junior staff, and ensuring safe, effective practice across the service.

You will bring strong communication and organisational skills, a flexible and proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering positive patient experiences at every stage of their care.

You'll care for patients and their families in the way you believe is best delivering high standards, sharing best practice, and continuously improving how we work. We're passionate about ensuring everyone feels valued when they come into contact with our organisation: you, our patients, and our community.

Wed love to hear from you if:

  • You are an experienced Community Nurse with NMC/1st level registration

  • You have strong clinical assessment skills and can confidently work autonomously in a community setting

  • You can support, guide and mentor junior staff as part of your Band 6 responsibilities

  • You are confident using IT systems and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • You hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work
