Infant Feeding Supporter (Community)

Job summary

Do you have a passion for supporting families and promoting positive infant feeding experiences?

HCRG Care Group is seeking a compassionate and motivatedInfant Feeding Supporterto join our Community Infant Feeding Team across Lancashire. This role supports delivery ofUNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) Gold accreditation, helping to improve outcomes for babies and families, particularly in the early postnatal period and beyond.

As part of our dynamic and friendly team, you will provide1:1, group-based, and virtual infant feeding supportacross Family Hubs, clinics, and family homes. You will promote breastfeeding, responsive bottle feeding, and healthy infant nutrition in line withBFI Gold standards, and will rolemodel compassionate, nonjudgemental communication and care.

Main duties of the job

In addition to direct support, you will also:

  • Contribute to the creation and development of highquality infant feeding resources, ensuring information is accessible, evidencebased, and aligned with BFI Gold requirements.
  • Support the planning and delivery of local and national campaignssuch as Breastfeeding Celebration Week, Infant Feeding Awareness activities, and Family Hub engagement events.
  • Work collaborativelywith partners across the 019 service, Family Hubs, Maternity, and wider community networks.

  • Confidence working with a level of autonomy (with support from the Community Specialist Infant Feeding Lead)
