Respiratory Physiotherapist Band 6
Location:Chippenham Community Hospital
Contract:12-month Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) or until return of the postholder
Full time - 37.5 hours per week
We are looking for a motivated Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our experienced team at Chippenham Community Hospital. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive multidisciplinary setting and deliver high-quality care across community respiratory services.
What You'll Do
- Deliver evidence-based respiratory care within an established team.
- Assess, monitor, and review patients referred for:
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation
- COPD Supported Discharge
- Home Oxygen Assessments

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement patient-centred care plans.
- Assess suitability for LTOT and ensure appropriate provision.
- Provide specialist care for COPD and ILD patients.
- Support Community Pulmonary Rehabilitation, including education and exercise sessions.
- Promote patient self-management and behaviour change.
- Communicate complex clinical information clearly to patients, families, and other professionals.
- Prioritise and manage a varied caseload.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and support audit activity.
- Work collaboratively with community nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
- Adhere to all professional and organisational policies.
