Job summary

Working within Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services offers a unique environment, with clear visibility of senior management who are easily approachable due to their hands-on approach, which includes our Managing Director. You will also be joining a team who are focused on clinical excellence and who recently received a Good CQC rating, with the majority of our rated services considered overall good or outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.

Main duties of the job

As a Health Visitor within our Essex Children's Services, based at Harlequin Childrens Centre, Spa Road, Witham (Braintree locality), you'll work part-time (22.5 hours / 3 days per week)as part of our dedicated Healthy Family Team;a multi-disciplinary group of Health Visitors, School Nurses, and Family Support colleagues committed to giving every child the best start in life.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme, assessing health and developmental needs and providing tailored, evidence-based interventions.
  • Use the Family Health Needs Assessment to plan, record and evaluate care, ensuring each family receives support that meets their unique circumstances.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans, empowering parents and carers to promote their child's wellbeing and resilience.
  • Champion early identification and intervention, taking the lead professional role where appropriate and ensuring safeguarding best practice.
  • Work collaboratively with GP's, Early Years teams and partner agencies to deliver joined-up, family-centred care across the community.
  • Mentor and support SCPHN students and new colleagues, contributing to a culture of learning and professional growth.
