ADHD Support Practitioner

Job summary

We are looking for a Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Support Practitioner, to join ourTree house Family Hub, Harlow, Essex.You will work alongside our dedicated nursesand assess referrals into the service. You will support children, young people and their families who are accepted onto the ADHD diagnostic pathway. We want someone who is able to carry out this role with sensitivity and empathy whilst delivering an outstanding service to our community.

This advert is for two positions:

  • 30 hours a week (Monday to Thursday)
  • 22.5 hours a week (Wednesday to Friday)

Though this position is based at our Tree House Family Hub, this will involve travel across West Essex meaning a driving license and access to a car are essential.

Main duties of the job

  • To review and assess the pre-screening questionnaires (SNAP, SDQ, Conners) that determine the next steps for the child.
  • Act as a point of contact for those families accepted on to the ADHD pathway.

  • To maintain accurate patient records, make clear concise verbal/written reports to the lead nurse/consultant and ensure administrative tasks are completed within the agreed time scales to meet service targets

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable groups. They will have excellent communication skills and are able to work both individually and as part of a team. Ideally the candidate will have experience supporting others in a care setting, whether this is experience in a professional or lived experience (friend, family, voluntary etc.)
