We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Learning Disability Physiotherapist, with previous Learning Disability physiotherapy experience, who will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and services to support individuals and teams, based primarily in Swindon. Working within a collaborative environment, you will provide essential services tailored to meet the unique needs of those we serve. Primarily based in Swindon, you will have the flexibility to work within a model that supports both on-site and hybrid working arrangements, depending on the nature of the role. Some travel across the BSW patch may be required so willingness to travel and a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
Main duties of the job
As a Specialist Learning Disability Physiotherapist, your responsibilities will include: To assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist physiotherapy interventions for patients with learning disabilities that are patient centred and in consultation with the service user as part of their overall care plan. This may include musculoskeletal, neurological and falls. To take a lead role in the management of the general physical well-being of service users Apply specialist knowledge and skills to meet the needs of those with profound and complex needs and those who challenging services
