This is a high-profile leadership role responsible for driving excellence in clinical governance, compliance, and service improvement across a diverse portfolio. You will work closely with senior leadership and external partners to ensure regulatory compliance, uphold professional standards, and enhance patient safety and experience.

As theQuality Lead, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving key quality functions, includingmedicines management, safeguarding, infection control, health and safety, and regulatory compliance (CQC). You will also be instrumental in supporting transformation and improvement initiatives, ensuring that efficiency does not compromise service quality.

Main duties of the job

Provide senior clinical support to theBusiness Unit (BU) Senior Leadership Team, ensuring performance aligns with contractual and business objectives

Facilitate cross-service learning and monitor subcontractor compliance with performance agreements

Ensure theSLT has access to critical clinical quality and safety data

Develop and embedaudit plansto support service quality assurance

Interpret and communicate complex, sensitive clinical data to multidisciplinary teams

Lead reporting onCQUIN, QOF, KPIs, and Safety Events

Provide expert advice and support across service teams

Produce key reports, including theQuality Assurance & Risk Reportand Board reports

Ensure robust clinical governance systems are in place

Enhancepatient satisfaction and experience, integrating innovative service improvements

Providespecialist trainingon quality assurance, risk management, and patient safety

Maintain clinical and non-clinical records, ensuring data integrity

Act asDeputy Caldicott Guardian, ensuring safe and appropriate data sharing

Conductclinical governance reviews, ensuring compliance withNICE guidelines

Operate independently within agreed frameworks, escalating risks as necessary

Lead financial initiatives, includingbusiness case developmentfor quality improvements

Ensure cost-effective service delivery and budget alignment with quality priorities

Ensure services meetCQC, NICE, and contractual clinical requirements

Qualifications

  • Relevant clinical qualificationandhealthcare registration
  • Masters level education or equivalent experience

Experience

  • 5+ years post-registration experiencein health or social care
  • Experience withclinical safety assessments (DCB0160) and Caldicott Guardian responsibilities

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding ofsafeguarding, hygiene code, controlled drugs, health & safety, and CQC regulations
  • Completion ofNHS Digital Clinical Safety Foundation Course (CSO training)

Other requirements:Car driver with own car insured for business use
