Band 6/7 Physiotherapist
This job is now closed
Job summary
We are excited to offer a combined Band 6-7 role which would be a great opportunity for an experienced Band 6 ready to start making the step into B7 roles!
The Band 6 hours will be in Physiotherapy Outpatients at Paulton Memorial Hospital as part of a small team of physiotherapists, including an exercise instructor, rotational B5, 4 experienced B6's, a clinical specialist and a Team Lead. Patient mix varies from acute injuries and post op to OA and Chronic conditions.
The Band 7 hours will be in a couple of GP surgeries in the Paulton area (Hope House and Westfield) and a day at Batheaston Surgery. This is not an FCP (First contact Practitioner) role but provides timely physiotherapy assessment and treatment for patients of these surgeries with more acute or simple conditions that only require one or two sesssions. You are able to refer patients to the outpatient departments if needed. Some of the surgeries may also have a separate FCP working with them.
On Tuesdays you will be involved in the weekly in-service training sessions, team brief meetings and staff meetings as well as being given an hour of CPD time a week.
We can be relatively flexible with working hours, within reason, although the GP surgery room availability is generally fixed.
You might be expected to work at the other Outpatient sites if needed. These are at Keynsham Health Clinic in Keynsham and St Martins Hospital in Bath.
There are likely to be opportunities in the future to increase your Band 7 hours.
