We have an incredible opportunity to join our Community Child Health Department based in Wiltshire
We are looking for an exceptional GPwER who radiates dynamism, proactivity, and approachability, who may already have an interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders or who we could offer training to, to develop these skills.
As a dedicated GPwER youll play a pivotal role in delivering high quality careto children and young people by assessing health needs and following locally agreed pathways. Your days will be filled with face-to-face clinics where youll assess and support children presenting with neurodevelopmental difficulties (including ADHD and Autism) which may affect their health, development, or educational potential.
You will also possess key skills that ensure safe and quality-driven services that are provided whilst working collaboratively with our esteemed doctors and nurses within the department, whilst receiving invaluable support and supervision from our Lead Professional.

Main duties of the job
As a GPwER your days will be varied but responsibilities may include:
- Attending face to face clinics to assess children presenting with neurodevelopmental difficulties
- Completing autism assessment proformas and offering clinically guided opinions to families.
- Conducting face to face and telephone clinics to manage ADHD and medication.
- Supervising and liaising with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency of ongoing care
- Office based work including administrative tasks and telephone consultations
- Completing clinical records on SystmOne
- Communicating with members of the childrens health care team and social care
- Maintaining communication with parents and carers to ensure all care plans are understood.
- Attending MDT meetings
- Ensuring all childrens safety and security is maintained and concerns raised.
- Following Safeguarding policies and accessing Safeguarding and Clinical supervision to support safe clinical working practice.
You would be expected to gain and retain knowledge of neurodevelopmental disorders and medical management of these to continue to support a child requiring ongoing medical management.
