We're looking fora motived and experiencedBand 6 Ward Nurseto join our innovative and passionateteam at Sheppey Community Hospital, North Kentto help us to continue to change things for the better.
You can haveexperience in the Community, on the Ward, inRapid Response or in a Care Home backgroundas we are looking for clinical skills alongside leadership ability.
We have a full-time role (37.5 hours) and a part-time role (24 hours) available with the opportunity for some flexible working with shift patterns such as the following:
5 x 7.5 hour shifts which are 7am - 3pm (early shift) and/or 12 noon - 8pm (late shift) and/or night shifts
Or
3 x 12.5hour shifts which are 7am - 8pmor night shifts
Main duties of the job
Within this role, you will:
- Maintain a high standard of patient focused care
- You will show leadership ability and have capability to manage your own caseload and upskill the band 5 staff members
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients, ensuring accurate written records are kept
- Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information
- Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient
- Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Conduct
