Job summary

As a Neurodevelopmental Nursing Team Lead - ADHD you will take a prime role in the ongoing transformation and development of the ADHD service across B&NES and Wiltshire, with colleagues from Community Paediatrics.

This is a part time opportunity working 29 hours across the week according to the services needs. Your base location will be at one of our vibrant Wiltshire hubs, either in Trowbridge or Chippenham, with the possibility of travel as necessary.

Main duties of the job

As a Neurodevelopmental Nursing Team Lead you will:

  • Provide support to the team via line management
  • Help identify key areas for development and help plan to implement and measure service developments.
  • Work collaboratively with paediatric colleagues to identify children and young people (CYP) where ongoing assessment and support is required.
  • Work collaboratively with other colleagues in the neurodevelopmental pathways team to integrate services to maximise efficiency and optimise the experience of the service for CYP and their families.
  • Work therapeutically with children and young people (CYP) and their families to identify strengths and strategies for management at home and educational setting.
  • Deliver clinics across Wiltshire to support children and families where ADHD has been diagnosed
  • Ensure that the care plan is kept up to date and that this is communicated to other relevant health colleagues
  • Work closely with School Nurse colleagues to identify children not in school but accessing care as part of pathways
  • Work with colleagues in other teams to increase capacity by up-skilling
