As a Senior Medical Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission and driving operational efficiency across our healthcare system.

Reading UCC is here to help the local community to access to healthcare easily and quickly if you have an urgent medical need. Providing treatment for minor illnesses.

Providing appointments for self-presenting patients and those referred from GPs and the Royal Berkshire Hospitals accident and emergency department.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead and oversee the administrative operations of the healthcare facility, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with medical Staff, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care processes and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the quality of healthcare services, promote patient safety, and align with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the administrative team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate administrative systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to enhance workflow and productivity.
  • Manage budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments, promoting interdisciplinary teamwork and enhancing the overall patient experience.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in healthcare administration, recommending and implementing best practices to drive continuous improvement.
