Registered Nurse - Renal Dialysis Unit

You will need to have healthcare
experience within a main stream healthcare setting and have worked
within an acute medical, surgical field or have current or previous
renal nursing experience. You will be adaptable with the right
attitude and aptitude to work in a busy dialysis clinic.
What does the role involve?
Being a Dialysis nurse requires commitment and passion along with the skills and competencies to juggle the technical nursing aspect whilst giving holistic care. You will be working autonomously, responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care for dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury.
Limerick Dialysis Unit operates 24 haemodialysis stations, serving up to 96 patients, in partnership with the Health Service Executive using only the latest equipment. Nursing is planned at a ratio of 1:4 patients, and you will be supported by HCAs on each shift.
This is a full time role of 37.5 hours a week. Current days are working various shifts Monday to Saturday between 6.30am to 6.00pm.
