Cygnet Group are currently looking for an experienced Autism Support Worker (Days) to join our dedicated team at Marion House. Youll be working 42 hours (Days Only - 08:00 AM till 08:00 PM) per week, including alternative weekends. The Service: Marion House is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and moderate to severe learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do, based on each persons specific needs. We understand that consistency and continuity of care is important for the people we support.

The People We Support:

  • Adults from the age of 18 years
  • Individuals with a diagnosis of autism & learning disability
  • May present with behaviours that challenge
  • May have communication challenges
  • May have associated complex needs
  • May have an ECHP (Education Healthcare Plan)
  • May be subjected to DoLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards) or Care Orders

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all our service users, patients & residents
  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals sp ecific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required
  • Safeguard
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for all

You are:

  • Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in peoples lives
  • An excellent communicator and a good team player
  • Sensitive and intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
  • Helping to empower & support service user independence.
