We are looking for a confident Counselling Psychologist with a passion for delivering outstanding care. Youll be working full time, 40 hours a week, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Bury Forestwood. Cygnet Bury Forestwood offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute and Low Secure services across four wards which provide a defined treatment pathway from admission through to intervention and discharge including rapid assessment and treatment.

You will be joining our team on a full time, 40hrs per week basis at Cygnet Bury Forestwood.

Cygnet Bury Forestwood offers CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute and Low Secure services across four wards which provide a defined treatment pathway from admission through to intervention and discharge including rapid assessment and treatment.Please note: This is a 9-12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.

Your day-to-day Carry out psychological assessments & provide therapy to individuals & groups Work systemically with staff, as well as directly with service users Consult with staff, families & other agencies a bout the psychological care of the client group Offer psychological insight & knowledge to the multidisciplinary team Support the clinical, nursing & direct care teams in making skilled evaluations & decisions about risk Evaluate the service, contribute to its development & carry out clinical research.We are looking for someone who is... An experienced Psychologist, ideally with an adult mental health client group Experienced in working as part of a multidisciplinary team Knowledgeable of mental health legislation, risk assessment & risk management principles Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema focused, Cognitive Analytical & DBT Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical & verbal aggression, history of sexual offending & drug & alcohol problems An excellent communicator.Why Cygnet?
