Job summary
We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare.
You'll be working full time 42 hours a week, 12 hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts week one, three shifts week two, on a two week rolling rota), nights only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Langdale.
Langdale House is an Outstanding rated specialist residential service supporting people with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
The main house accommodates up to eight people and offers spacious communal areas, a dedicated activity room and an enclosed outdoor garden within a homely environment.
In the grounds we have two new single occupancy flats in the Coach House. Each flat boasts a double bedroom with fitted furniture, a bathroom / wet room and open plan living and kitchen space.

Main duties of the job
Your day-to-day...
- Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
- Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
- Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
- Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs
- Safeguard
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
- Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
- Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
