We need a Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist whos passionate about helping people with a range of complex mental health needs.
You will be joining our team on a part time, 16hrs per week basis working across 2 days.

Cygnet Broughton House & Satellites:
Broughton House is a 29 bed specialist residential service for adults with autism and who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care.
Broughton House is divided into five distinct areas to suppor t individuals within smaller environments. The main part of the building offers nine beds, with four beds in both the Coach House and The Flat. On-site there are two separate properties, Sutton House and Sandbeck House, each with six beds. We also have a several satellites homes within the community which are highly specialist residential care homes for men and women living with Autism and Severe Learning Disabilities who often exhibit challenging behaviours. There is travel between sites, and there is little to no public transport available.
Your Day-to-Day
- Youll be working 16 hours a week
- To provide a specialist Psychology service to residents within Broughton House and Satellites with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Severe Learning Disabilities, and other co-morbid presentations, such as mood disorders.
- To help individuals and those supporting them to understand their psychological distress, empower them to work towards living a fulfilling life to their values and reduce the impact of disorder.
- To work as part of an MDT of clinicians and support staff, providing psychological assessments and a range of direct and indirect treatment to the service.
- Provide training & supervision to colleagues, & consultation to teams
- Evaluate the service, contribute to its development & carry out clinical research
- Disseminate outcomes via conference presentations and publications.
We are looking for someone who is
- A HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with experience of working with neurodiversity, learning difficulties and or mental health presentations
- Able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Passionate about working with people with neurodiversity and learning disabilities
- Capable of working with diffi culties such as self-harm, physical & verbal aggression and offending behaviours.
- Experienced in the delivery of trauma informed care
- Newly qualified and applicants due to qualify within 6 months are welcome to apply
- Desirable but not essential to have had experience of working in social care and/or mental health settings.
