Cygnet Group are currently recruiting for anExperienced MHA Administratorto join our team atCygnet Maple House,which offers specialised service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women with personality disorder and complex needs.
You willworking 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm (flexible start time)
Cygnet Maple House is our 16 bed highly specialised service providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women with personality disorder and complex needs.
Rehabilitation is provided in a therapeutic setting, with a level of security matched to individual needs. The aim of the treatment, rehabilitation and re-socialisation programme is to prepare the individuals in our care either for transfer to an environment of lesser security, or for a life in the community.
We have a substantive multi-disciplinary team (MDT) comprising of a hospital manager, clinical manager, consultant psychiatrist, specialty doctor, psychologist, assistant psychologist, occupational therapist, therapy co-ordinator and nursing and support workers. We work closely with the local community, including dieticians and primary care.
We promote physical health, wellbeing and meaningful occupation as part of our treatment programme, using strong community links to facilitate individualised wellbeing plans.

Your day-to-day:
To ensure that all procedures relative to the Mental Health Act and associated legislation are adhered to.
Ensure the legal detention of patients.
Ensure adequate records for detained patients are maintained.
Ensure adequate and safe storage of documentation.
Receive section papers during working hours.
Arrange correction of errors relating to detention of patients to meet all legal requirements.
Ensure patient and nearest relatives are aware of individual rights and power of detention in force and assist as required with exercising these rights.
Ensure an up-to-date list of mental health solicitors is available to patients and that patients are represented at hearings or appeals where possible or appropriate.
We are looking for people who have:
Experienced Mental Health Act Administrator
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) with qualifications in English and Maths
Exceptional organisational skills
Experience of working in a Healthcare environment alongside Medical Practitioners
Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 (MHA 2007)
Knowledge of compliance and auditing systems required by regulatory bodies (CQC)
Experience in taking minutes during meetings
