We are looking for a professional, confident Ward Manager (RMN / RNLD) who can lead, inspire & oversee the delivery of the very best care.
You'll be working 40 hours a week (Monday Friday 9am - 5pm) at Cygnet Hospital Ealing.
We are looking for a Ward Manager to join us onSunrise Ward.Sunrise Ward at Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a highly specialised eating disorder service for women, including those with extremely low BMIs. We focus on supporting individuals to attain a healthy BMI and prepare for a return to home.
Cygnet Hospital Ealingprovides a welcoming, non-institutional environment, offering personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards.
Services are delivered in a purpose-built therapeutic environment where the focus is on maximising positive outcomes and recovery. A range of therapies supports the care pathway towards independent living. The hospital is close to transport links and with ready access to the local community.

Your day-to-day...
Provide the highest standard of nursing care & be a role model to junior staff
Co-ordinate all clinical aspects of the ward & ensure co-operation b etween clinical departments
Provide suggestions, proposals & recommendations to the Hospital Manager aimed at the continued development of the ward
Contribute & participate in planned visits to the ward by professional visitors
Initiate & maintain a monitoring system in relation to professional nursing practice at unit level, including pin numbers & the current registration of all qualified staff
Ensure that the evaluation of service delivery is user (i.e. patient, carer & family) based
Implement clinical & administrative policies, procedures & regulations
Ensure compliance by others of policies, procedures & regulations
Support staff through debriefs, appraisals, training, meetings & development of evidence/ research-based practice
Participate unit coordinator rota system to provide the first point of contact for ward-based staff.
Lead by example to ensure consistently high standards of clinical care & documentation
Ensure patients rights to confidentiality are respected & that Cygnet Health Care & professional policies are adhered to.
You are...
A qualified RMN / RNLD with a valid NMC pin number
Committed to delivering improvement strategies across all aspects of clinical service provision
Familiar with in an inpatient setting
Experienced in managing change, leadership initiatives, motivating & developing others
Experienced working with service users with eating disorders or in a mental health setting
Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
Capable of undertaking audits, developing, following-up & ensuring completion of action plans
Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & the latest nursing practices
Focused on patient recovery to mo nitor, manage & reduce risk
