Job summary

Cygnet Group are looking for an outstanding Housekeeping Supervisor who takes pride in creating clean, safe and welcoming environments, and who has a genuine passion for making a positive difference to others. Youll be working 40 hours per week at Cygnet Raglan House, with shifts running 08:00 am 04:00 pm, including two weekends per month. In this role, youll lead by examplesupporting your team, maintaining high standards across the service, and helping to create a homely, comfortable space where the people we support can feel safe, respected and cared for. Your work will play a key part in the overall well-being and experience of our service users. Cygnet Raglan House is a 25-bed high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for women. The service is designed to provide an environment that promotes mental health recovery by focusing on space, personal privacy and dignity. Women admitted to the service often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.

Your day-to-day

  • Organising staff rotas, allocating daily tasks
  • Monitor and check levels of cleanliness within the service.
  • Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
  • Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well-maintained
  • Oversee the cleaning of wards, communal areas, offices, bathrooms and clinical spaces.
  • Ensuring all staff follow COSHH regulations and the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Report hazards or risks to the appropriate teams.

You are...

  • Currently working as a housekeeper or domestic assistant within a nursing home, hospital or clinical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Infection Control and COSHH
  • Friendly, conscientious & have a positive attitude
  • Previous experience providing excellent cleaning standards and a strong work ethic
  • Previous experience leading a team and encoruaging team work
