Job summary

We are looking for a confident Assistant Psychologist with a passion for delivering outstanding care. Youll be working full time, 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Pindar House. Cygnet Pindar House is our 22 bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntingtons Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Pindar HouseThis role will be working full time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm).

Cygnet Pindar House is our 22 bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntingtons Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms.

The service is a modern purpose-built facility, designed specifically to provide a clinically-led evidence-based neuropsychiatric pathway for individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge. Our focus is to create a therapeutic rich environment to engage the men in our care and offer them the opportunity to maximise their independence.

Our in-house Neuropsychiatry interdisciplinary team are able to support those with complex physical health needs and we have bedrooms located on the ground floor for men with mobility impairments.

Our person-centred approach puts the individual at the centre of their care and discharge planning. The service offers a wide range of activities and facilities to promote independent function. Positive behaviour goals are focused on discharge planning to support service u sers to return to community living either with support or independently.

Your Day-to-DayWe are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with; Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written) Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes Administration, audit, research and service developmentWere looking for someone who is Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team Qualified to Masters degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)Why Cygnet?
