Job summary

We are looking for a confident Ward Secretary with a passion for delivering outstanding care, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Hospital Harrow working on West Ward. You'll be working 37.5 hours a week (Monday - Friday). West Ward is our new 18 bed acute service for men. The service will provide a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission

Main duties of the job

Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides a recovery focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems. We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and who also have a dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.

Your Day-to-Day... Provide a high standard of organisational & administrative support Prepare reports & other written materials to a high standard Keep files & records as required Work co-operatively with all other members of the administration team to ensure the department runs smoothly Occasional minute taking at meetings & taking notes for meetings as & when required Answer the telephone & respond to all enquiries in a friendly, efficient manner.You are... An administrator with experience in health care & knowledge of mental health

Experienced with supporting with administrative duties within a fast-paced hospital environment Flexible, organised, able to prioritise workloads, solve problems & make decisions Calm under pressure & can work under your own initiative A strong written & verbal communicator with an eye for detail and excellent interpersonal skills Highly proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Windows & the internet.Why Cygnet?
