Job summary

We are looking for an outstanding Part time Cook (Weekends Only) whos passionate about food and wants to make a difference to join our team at Cygnet Conifers. Working both Saturday & Sunday from 07:00 am till 03:00 pm Please be aware face to face training will be required which will take place during the week. Conifers is a specialist residential home providing outcome-focused care for adults with a primary diagnosis of profound to moderate learning disability and autism with associated complex needs. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do, based on each persons specific needs. We understand that consistency and continuity of care is important for the individuals we support. Conifers is a seven-bed home with en-suite bedrooms located on the ground floor, enabling the team to support individuals who may be in a wheelchair. Please be aware face to face training will be required which will take place during the week.

We are looking for an outstanding Part timeCook(Weekends Only) whos passionate about food and wants to make a difference to join our team at Cygnet Conifers.

Your day-to-day...

  • Prepare, cook & serve nutritional, balanced and appetising meals
  • Provide special diets, taking into account individual preferences & needs
  • Liaise with nursing colleagues to meet patients nutritional & dietary needs
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and Food Hygiene Regulations
  • Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
  • Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
