As Resident Medical Officer, you'll play a crucial role providing on call cover for Cygnet Hospital Sherwood .

The RMO is the Doctor onsite covering on calls between 5pm and 9am on weekdays and 9am - 9am weekend shifts. Generally the RMO will work on a rota of4 days on / 3 days offevery week.

Cygnet Hospital Sherwood is our new state-of-the-art PICU and Acute hospital for men, in Nottinghamshire. The service has three wards, including a 12 bed PICU ward and two 16 bed acute wards.

Cygnet Hospital Sherwood has a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and supports the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.

• NG tubing
• Patient admissions
• Patient assessments
• Risk assessments
• Mental health assessments

We are looking for someone who is...

• Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
• An excellent clinical decision maker, with sound judgement, the ability to manage risk & know when to ask for help
• Preferably experienced in Psychiatry
• Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
• Committed to continued professional development
