Salary: £27,250 (per annum)

Hours: Full-time (40 hrs a week)

Cygnet Health Care have been providing a national network of specialist mental health services for more than 30 years.

We are seeking to recruit a full-time, experienced and motivated Assistant Psychologist to join Cygnet Hospital Sherwood in Mansfield. This role will be working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Cygnet Hospital Sherwood Cygnet Hospital Sherwood in Mansfield is a new state-of-the art 44-bed hospital comprising of three wards that provide acute and PICU services for men.

Cygnet Hospital Sherwood will have a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and will support the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment. Were focused on length of stay and making sure individuals move as quickly and safely as possible from our services to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them.

Your Day-to-Day We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Psychology Team with;

Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written) Contributing to risk assessments Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment Attending ward round and multidisciplinary meetings Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes Administration, audit, research and service development

Were looking for someone who is

Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs Passionate about learning and working as part of a multidisciplinary team Qualified to Masters degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
