Your Role: Lead Physiotherapist at Cygnet Brunel
Service Line: Male Neurorehabilitation
Summary of the site:
Cygnet Brunel in Bristol offers an extensive Neuropsychiatric treatment, care and rehabilitation pathway which is unique in its ability to provide a dedicated pathway to meet the complex needs of service uses within our care.
- Neuropsychiatric
- MDT consists of Hospital Manager, Clinical Manager, Psychiatry, Nursing, Speciality Doctors, Psychology, Speech and language therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietician, Occupational Therapy.
- Case load, 16 patients, 32 bedded service.
- Physiotherapy Team consists of Senior Physiotherapist, Therapy Assistant.
Main duties of the job
Clinical: You would be responsible for the assessment and treatment of physical dysfunction for the service and hold a small case load.
You will work with a full multidisciplinary team in a coordinated way to support each service user develop their ability and move through our clinical model of care from admission to discharge.
You will have one senior Physiotherapist and one therapy assistant to support interventions with your caseload.
Leadership: You will report to Hospital Manager and Director of Physiotherapy.
You will hold leadership and management responsibilities as the Head Physiotherapist, of the Physiotherapy service to the 4 wards within the Cygnet Brunel.
Service line & Development:
Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed therapy pathway, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists work closely together at developing the Neuro Service Line.
We ensure our Physiotherapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists and Physiotherapists.
