We want to recruit an exceptional OT to be part of a senior management team at Cygnet Sherwood Hospital. If you have a history of demonstrating clinical expertise & strong leadership skills, with a passion for developing others this could be an opportunity for you.
Due to open in February 2024, Sherwood Hospital will be a unit consisting of three wards. One will specialise in male PICU while there will also be a male acute mental health ward and a female mental health acute ward. This service will provide comprehensive support to service users at a newly refurbished site.
This new forward-thinking hospital will have an inbuilt drive for innovation and embrace new ways of working; we are looking for staff who share our passion for new ideas and are willing to drive for sustained high quality care delivery as part of a supportive team. The service supports patients to return to functional lives, reduce self-harm and emotional distress.
Main duties of the job
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will work as an autonomous clinician, providing specialist assessment and treatment of occupational dysfunction.You will hold supervisory responsibility for others, and take a leadership role in specific projects.
An integral part of this role will be supporting student education within the team. Sherwood Hospital will encompass a full multidisciplinary team and the successful post holder will support the Head of Occupational Therapy on site to implement the models of care within the Occupational Therapy department.
This role includes opportunities for learning, development and research, supported by a robust appraisal and supervision structure based on RCOTs Career Development Framework.
