Job responsibilities

We are looking for an Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (AP) to join our team atAspen Clinic (Cygnet Healthcare).

Aspen Clinic is a 16 bed hospital specialising in the treatment and rehabilitation of women inpatients detained because they are a risk to themselves. Patients usually have the diagnoses of personality disorder, complex developmental trauma/abuse and/or autism. Cygnet Healthcare have been providing a national network of high quality specialist services for over 30 years. In this role youll have the chance to make a real impact on patients and their lives.

We are seeking a compassionate applicants with a relentlessly positive approach to support and enhance the psychological care of patients in Aspen Clinic by assisting the Clinical and Counselling Psychologists.

The work of the Aspen Clinic AP includes:

Work within the DBT team to deliver the skills group (training provided) Developing and updating START risk assessments One to one support for inpatients Administration and scoring of psychological tests and assessments Co-produce formulations with patients Drafting reports Attending and contributing to MDT meetings Participation in regular weekly supervision.

Were looking for someone who has:

Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS) A minimum of 6 months previous paid work experience as an Assistant Psychologist in a hospital or other healthcare setting Enjoys working as part of a multi-disciplinary team Prior knowledge or experience of DBT, and willingness to train if no qualification Good IT skills.

Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
