This exciting role is designed for Newly Qualified Paramedics who are keen to undertake frontline 999, event and transfer operations. The ECS NQP role has been developed with a clear structure for support, supervision and development alongside an underpinning portfolio to provide evidence of progress through and completion of the ECS NQP programme.
Utilising our breadth of operational activity, this role is the ideal stepping stone in developing a wealth of experience across a number of sectors, surrounded by a clinically focussed team. With opportunities to work frontline with a blend of ECA's and Paramedic Mentors, and with First Responders to Critical Care Teams during event activity, this role represents huge potential for driven and dynamic candidates.

Main duties of the job
As an ECS Newly Qualified Paramedic, you will provide care to patients across a variety of sectors, from frontline ambulance operations to event medicine and transfers.
Whilst supported, you will be expected to undertake appropriate clinical decision making, interventions and skills to deliver high quality care for our patients.
We are looking for hard working and driven candidates who are keen to learn and develop and broaden their experience, whilst learning from the wider multidisciplinary team.
As part of this role, you will progress through the ECS NQP framework which meets all National guidance and includes extensive support.

Having initially delivered enhanced and critical care to a range of events, ECS now oversees the medical cover to over 250 events each year, operates a range of operational frontline ambulance and clinical services and provides medical education at all levels.

Undertake patient assessment and appropriate intervention and treatment during potentially challenging situations.
Carry out all duties, working within the defined scope of practice and adhering to protocols, policies, SOPs and clinical guidelines, seeking appropriate clinical advice and/or support as required.
Treat our patients with respect and dignity and maintain confidentiality in relation to personal data, ensuring it is processed lawfully.
Share learning and support clinical education, audit and development.
Education
- Ensure continued learning and development as part of the ECS NQP portfolio, including self directed study.
- Maintain own CPD and contribute to own personal development by participating in regular appraisals and mentorship meetings.

- - Hold a full UK driving license with a maximum of 3 penalty points and no disqualifications within the past 5 years.
- - Current experience undertaking regular pre-hospital clinical activity
- - Hold current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council and be free from any suspensions, cautions or conditions of practice. (not needed at the time of application - but will be required before starting with ECS)

- - Hold relevant post-registration qualifications e.g. ALS, PHTLS
