About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and compassionateBand 5 Staff Nurseto join our Radiology Nursing Team. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high quality nursing care to patients undergoing a wide range ofdiagnostic and radiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective and evidence based nursing care throughout the patient journey
• Support radiologists, radiographers and sonographers during interventional procedures
• Undertake patient assessment, preparation and post procedure monitoring
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, relatives and colleagues
• Recognise and escalate clinical concerns, incidents or risks appropriately
• Contribute to audits, service improvement and the learning environment

About You

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with currentNMC registration
• Significant post qualification nursing experience
• Experience preparing patients and equipment for sterile or interventional procedures
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamworking skills
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Flexible, organised and patient focused

Desirable:

• Experience working within aRadiology or procedural environment
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff

Additional Information

• Ability to wear radiation protective clothing for prolonged periods is required
• Commitment to infection prevention, risk management and safeguarding is essential
• Flexible working approach to meet service needs
