We are looking for an experienced Radiographer to join our team. This is a full-time position with
a variety of working patterns available. The role will be based at Crawley Hospital but there will be a requirement to travel to another site in Brighton.
This role is accountable for performing imaging procedures which may
include MRI, CT, Xray, Dexa or Ultrasound, deferring to Senior or Lead
radiologists when required. This role
always always operates with a high degree of professionalism, to ensure
provision of a high quality, responsive and patient-focused service.
Main duties of the job
- Undertaking a wide variety MRI, CT, Xray, Dexa or
Ultrasound examinations on different systems.
- Preparing
patients for imaging procedures, explains the procedure and ensures that the
patient is comfortable and properly positioned.
- Ensuring all referrals are justified and provide
advise on protocols, if required
- Ensuring consistently high-quality images are
produced.
- Assessing images for quality and clinical
significant and escalate urgent findings as necessary.
- Administering contrast media in line with PGD
guidance, SOPs & protocols.
- Responsible for own clinical areas with regards
to linen change and cleanliness.
