Your responsibilities will include:

To provide leadership and day-to-day management of the ward

To ensure safe, effective and evidence-based nursing care is consistently delivered

To assist in the provision of high-quality care of patients; to include treatment, preventative care, chaperoning, screening and patient education

To work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve/maintain an outstanding, patient-focused service.

For Clinical Roles:

The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota during the hospital operating hours. The rota is not fixed, is subject to change in order to meet operational needs and will be required to work weekends and bank holidays in accordance with the rota.

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Be a Registered Nurse with a post-registration qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Current and consolidated experience as a Ward Sister/Charge surgical nurse with experience in CQC preparation and inspection ideally within a private healthcare setting.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge and experience of clinical governance.
  • Sound leadership and influencing skills with good verbal and written communication skills.
