Job summary
This innovative Portfolio GP role offers a unique opportunity to combine flexibility and variety with the stability and benefits of a salaried position. Main duties of the job
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS Performers List
- Completion of GP Specialty Training (or equivalent)
- Evidence of recent UK general practice experience
- Strong generalist clinical skills with the ability to manage a broad range of presentations
- Commitment to good medical practice, clinical governance, and high quality patient care
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with patients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple sites
- Evidence of annual appraisal and ongoing CPD
- Professional integrity, empathy, and a patient centred approach
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness for one to be completed)
Desirable
- Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP)
- Additional postgraduate qualifications (e.g., DRCOG, DCH, DFSRH)
- Competence in joint injections, minor procedures, or womens health skills (e.g., coils)
- Experience contributing to QOF, clinical audits, or service improvement
- Experience working across multiple practices, PCNs, or varied clinical settings
- Interest in developing enhanced clinical skills or supporting service development
- Experience supporting or adapting to service change
